Arcana’s Ring Openers provide controlled outward pressure to help open hinged clickers and ball closure rings (BCRs) without twisting them out of shape.

5-Inch Ring Opening Pliers

Compact, lightweight and easy to control for everyday jewellery changes.

• Suitable for rings approximately 6–16 mm in diameter
• Suitable for jewellery up to 8 gauge (3 mm) thick

7-Inch Ring Opening Pliers

Provides additional leverage for firmer rings, larger diameters and thicker gauges.

• Suitable for rings approximately 8–25 mm in diameter
• Suitable for jewellery up to 4 gauge (5 mm) thick

How to Use

Position the closed jaws inside the ring, selecting the notch that provides the most secure fit. Slowly squeeze the handles to expand the ring, applying only as much pressure as needed.

For plain hinged clickers, keep the jaws clear of the hinge and opening mechanism. Open gradually to avoid overstretching or damaging the jewellery.

These pliers are designed for opening rings only and will not close them.

Not recommended for ornate, gem-set or decorative clickers, as pressure may damage delicate settings or details.
